Travelling safely together
Here is exactly what we do, what we do not do, and what we ask you to do yourself before you travel with someone.
What we do
Optional ID verification
Travellers can choose to verify their identity with a government-issued ID through Stripe. Only those who complete it carry the "Verified" badge, so check for it.
You approve every connection
Nobody is connected to your family automatically. You see the other traveller's profile and decide whether to accept.
Your details stay private
Your email and phone number are never published on a journey listing. You share them only if and when you choose to.
Privacy
Messages between you and a potential companion stay inside the platform until you decide to share anything further.
- Contact details hidden until you share them
- Encrypted in transit and at rest
- Payments handled by Stripe
What we do not do
We would rather you know this up front than assume otherwise.
- We do not run criminal background checks. ID verification confirms that a person is who they say they are. It says nothing about their history or their character.
- We do not vet, train, employ, or supervise companions. A companion is a fellow traveller, not a carer or a medical escort. If your parent needs hands-on assistance, book airline or airport assistance as well.
- We are not at the airport and we are not a 24/7 helpline. We are a small team answering email. For anything urgent while travelling, contact the airline, airport staff, or local emergency services.
What we ask you to do
Meet virtually first
Always schedule a video call with a potential companion, with your parent present, before confirming anything.
Trust your instincts
If something feels off, decline the connection. You never owe anyone an explanation.
Tell us about a problem
Email [email protected] if someone behaves badly. We read every message and will remove accounts that put people at risk.
